Digital Imaging
Convert Analog media (e.g. Microfilm, Microfiche, 35mm slides, Photographs, VHS and Audio tapes, and Floppy Discs) to an easy to access and use digital format.
Stacks of 35mm slides and photos are sitting in boxes. Depending on the storage conditions, slides and photographs can deteriorate and change colors. Isn't it time to convert them to digital images and share them?
VHS and audio tapes, even with proper storage (cool, dry, dark space, and standing on end) won't last forever. The VHS and audio tapes "fade" over time and if not played regularly will "bleed" from one layer of the magnetic tape to the next. Over time your videos may become unwatchable and your audio tapes garbled.
VHS players and slide projectors are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Even if your tapes and slides have been properly stored and cared for the lack of equipment will also make the media un-usable. Migrating your analog media to current technologies ensures that your memories will stay memorable.>

Microfilm - Before
Microfilm rolls can degrade over time and, depending on storage conditions, acquire molds that destroy the image. Fading and other changes may also occur.
Microfilm and Microfiche require special dedicated readers to view the images. The images have to be viewed one at a time to find the specific image needed.
ARCHIVE-CD digitally scans the microfilm converting the roll of film into digital images that can be searched using OCR (Optical Character Recognition). With indexing, a particular image can be found in seconds versus the hours it took previously using microfilm or microfiche.

Microfilm - After

These digital images can be printed, copied, or sent electronically as needed.

35mm Slide - Before
35mm slides can degrade over time and, depending on storage conditions, acquire molds that destroy the image. Fading and other color changes may also occur.
ARCHIVE-CD digitally scans and restores your slides. The original remains the same and is returned to you unharmed.
-
35mm Slide - After
Note the color correction - from a slightly faded look to one that is sharper, cleaner, crisper. Physical damage to the photograph (tears, dirt, molds, delamination, faded or changing colors) in most cases can be digitally "corrected" or "repaired."
-
35mm Slid - Before
In the slide (Above) the slide is damaged by mold and/or fungus. Color fading has also occurred.
-
35mm Slid - After
Digital "repairs" can return the slide to an almost "original" condition.
-
Photograph - Before
Old photographs can get torn or otherwise damaged. Sometimes you need a copy to send to friends or for the family tree.
ARCHIVE-CD digitally scans and restores your photographs. The original remains the same and is returned to you unharmed.

Photograph - After

-
Photograph - Before
In the photograph (Above) the photo is missing a piece at the top, there is delamination - the surface film has peeled away from the bottom paper layer, and there are cracks and creases where the photograph has been bent and folded.
-
Photograph - After
Digital "repairs" can return the photo to a "like new" condition.

VHS and Audio Analog Tapes
VHS and/or Audio tapes to DVD.
Keep up with changes in technology by converting your old VHS tapes to digital media.
-
Floppy Discs - 3 1/2" and 5 1/4"
Convert Old Technology to current digital files.
Do you have OLD Technology sitting around? Remember 5 1/4" or 3 1/2" floppy discs? ARCHIVE-CD can recover those old files for you and convert them to easy to use digital files.
